A huge thank you to everyone for their generous donations of cookies, frosting and sprinkles.  Our Kindergarten - Sixth graders had a blast decorating the cookies and learning about The Rescue Mission where the cookies were donated.

Please join us as we Dare to Dream. We are discussing and trying our best to develop a life mission statement that will honor God, bless others, and bring us joy. Please join us for an “always lively” discussion. Basement Room 9

With Easter just around the corner, it’s time to order an Easter Lily to dedicate to loved ones.  The Deacon’s begin taking orders Sunday, Feb 18.  Order forms are available from the ushers and the church office.  Cost for each potted plant is $9.00.  Payment must be submitted with your order form no later than March 11.  For more info, check the March Talking Trinity newsletter.

The Men’s Group will be meeting Monday, February 26, at Greg Lee’s house, 6623 SW 53rd Street, to watch the basketball game between Kansas and Texas. The meeting will start at 7:30 p.m., and ALL TRINITY MEN ARE INVITED. You can bring a friend. Bring your favorite snack, munchies, or sweets. Greg will provide the drinks.

Lenten Devotional Booklet

Trinity has compiled a 40-day Lenten Devotional Booklet that features devotions from Trinity members.  It will be available in the church lobby throughout the Lenten season.

Trinity Game Night

Trinity Game night is Wed, February 38.  Bring a deck of cards and your favorite game and join us in the parlor on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings from 6-8 pm.  Our objective is to get together and enjoy a lil’ fellowship, have a laugh and a snack.  The game(s) we play are simply the means to achieving that objective.  Hope to see you Wednesday evening.

Join us for Simply Lent Meals & Meditation each Wednesday through Mar 21 from 6 to 6:45. The meals will be simple in the spirit of Lent, e.g. fruit and crackers.  This was a well-attended activity last year and we pray God will once again help us provide a meaningful and spiritual experience for all who attend.

Easter Egg Hunt

Trinity’s Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Sunday, March 25 (Palm Sunday) during the Sunday School hour.  We are in need of individually wrapped candy (prefer non seasonal candy) and plastic Easter eggs.  Please put items in the basket in the entry way.

Interested in Serving as Trinity’s Financial Secretary?

Susan Bozeman will be vacating the position of Financial Secretary on March 31 in order to devote her time to pursuing other opportunities. We thank her for over five years of faithful and dedicated service.

The Finance Committee has begun the process of finding a replacement for this position which is responsible for receiving and recording monetary contributions and donations. If anyone is interested in serving as Trinity’s Financial Secretary, please contact Pastor Meredith or Dennis Williams, Finance Committee Chairperson.

For the long-term, the Finance Committee will be assessing whether these duties, as well as those of the Treasurer, should continue to be performed on a volunteer basis by a Trinity member or whether these responsibilities should be performed by a paid employee or out-sourced on a contractual basis to a bookkeeper or private company.

The Alzheimer’s Association is putting on a four-part series for family caregivers and professionals.  It is entitled, "Building Caregiver Confidence."
