Five Committees were successful in applying for and receiving grant awards for 2012. The Endowment Committee was able to award $3,150.00.
The Evangelism Committee was awarded $400.00 to advertise future events on cjonline. These ads will provide community members an opportunity to learn about future events at Trinity.
The Peacemaking Committee was awarded two grants. The first provides $400.00 for an all-in-one recycling dumpster. This recycling dumpster provides the opportunity for Trinity members, office staff, TDC Little Explorers to recycle and reduce waste. The second grant awarded to the Peacemaking Committee is for $500.00 to purchase 500 reuseable grocery bags with Trinity’s logo and website on them. They will be distributed to all Trinity members, all visitors and provide another opportunity to advertise Trinity throughout the Topeka community.
The fourth grant awarded this year is to the Property Committee. They were awarded $925.00 to develop a comprehensive engineering study of our existing HVAC units and initiate implementation of a comprehensive, multi-year plan for upgrading Trinity’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment.
The fifth grant award went to the Christian Education Committee. They were awarded $925.00 to permanently install a video projector for the adult CE classroom – room 12. This equipment will enable the Sunday School class and others who use Room 12 to play DVD’ and include a white board.
